Branch Meetings

The purpose of a Branch is:-

  • To protect and promote the interests, rights, functions and privileges of parish councils and parish meetings within their district
  • To provide a district level vehicle for information exchange, discussion, policy consultation and training
  • To provide a democratically elected councillor forum when required for Executive elections and other voting matters.

The Association has seven branches. They are:-

Branches consist of representatives from each member parish. Meetings are arranged four times a year providing speakers and discussion on a variety of topics of interest to the area as a whole.

Branches elect their own Chair and Secretary as well as their representatives on the Executive Committee, the governing body of the Association.
