Federation of East Midlands Associations of Local Councils (FEMALC)

FEMALC is a constituted grouping of County Associations comprising Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Rutland and Northamptonshire.
Together these Associations represent some 1,054 town, and parish councils throughout the region with an electorate of some 1.3 million.
FEMALC was created in 1999 to represent the parish council network at a regional level.
FEMALC currently has two representatives on the East Midlands Regional Assembly but is campaigning for five, one for each Association.
FEMALC is currently administered by Lynda Ogilvie of the Nottinghamshire Association.
The LRALC representative on FEMALC is Cllr John Springthorpe.
